This week, my work schedule as an entrepreneur cleared up by about 80%, and honestly, I did enjoy that 'busy' productive feeling from the past few weeks. Suddenly, there's all this time and space, and then a feeling creeps up: 'You have to find something to do, be productive.'
Well, that feeling is sort of wrong. Obviously, there's plenty to do in work and personal life, but why not enjoy a few free hours or days?
You might hear voices saying, 'Oh, you're being lazy,' or 'Remember that thing you never had time for? Maybe do it now.'
What if you give yourself the gift of rest and doing nothing?
Do something weekend-like, like going to a movie in the middle of the day, calling a friend for coffee and chat, binge-watching a few movies, or going to the actual movies.
Give yourself permission. Before you know it, your creative juices will start flowing again.
Ideas will pop up in your head like, 'Oh, what about this?' You might even find yourself drafting that dreaded email you've been putting off.
One thing I know for sure: Whenever there are quiet times in the life of an entrepreneur, YOU SHOULD USE THEM. Your busy schedule will return in the snap of a finger, but whether you'll be fully resourceful or not is up to you.
